New members' area

Here at the Frank Lee Leisure & Fitness Centre we have a great offering to all members, whether you have used a gym before or not. You will find we have a great variety of classes which cater for all levels of fitness. But we don't just do classes. We have a spacious fitness area on the ground floor which has cardio machines and a good sized open space, we also have a weights room which includes dumbbells, pre-lode barbells, pin-loaded weights machines and more...

Within these two spaces we have an extensive variety of different equipment that you can use (some of which is listed above) these are also used in our classes and workouts, so if you are unsure how to use any equipment why not jump into a workout or class and master any piece of equipment.

The main pieces of equipment we use are TRX, ViPR, Medicine ball, Kettlebells and Bosu. Our gym team has kindly put together some videos below showing the equipment in action.

ViPR - Using your own individual ViPR (rubber tube with handles) enjoy an energetic workout blending strength training with movement and giving a full body workout.

TRX - The TRX leverages gravity and the user's bodyweight to enable hundreds of exercises that can be instantly scaled for any user to reach any fitness or training goal.

MEDICINE BALL - Is a weighted ball which is often used for core exercises and is a fun way to work those hard to tone areas.

KETTLEBELLS - Is a cast iron weight (resembling a cannoball with a handle) used to perform dynamic exercises that combine all the elements you need to impove whole body fitness.

BOSU - Balance Trainer is a truly unique balance, core stability and proprioception training device that can be integrated with all types of fitness training, or stand alone as an outstanding functional tool.

We have a large variety of Classes & Workouts at the Club for all levels of fitness from Beginner to Very Fit.

Attending a class or workout involves some simple steps.

All classes and workouts are ticketed (no online bookings)and go on sale at the desk on a first come first served basis 30 minutes before the class starts. You then hand the ticket to the instructor at the beginning of the class.

In order for classes to start on time please can you ensure you arrive on time. We can't admit anyone to a class or workout after the advertised start time as you would've missed the warm up and there is a risk of injury and class disruption.
One of our best features we offer at the Club is that all primary members (those employed on Addenbrookes site) can nominate 3 people (friends or family) for associate membership.
The nominated Associates can have the same membership package as you or they can choose an alternative. For instance if you are a gold member your associate can have a silver pay as you go membership.

Setting up associate membership is very easy simply pop to Reception with your nominated person/persons and complete the membership application form. Please ensure that they have some method of payment though as we will require a joining and pro rata fee to be paid to get you up and running!!
